I got my permanent contract today! I am now officially Bids and Quotes Administrator, It's a fab job, I love it and I'm glad to be there. I'm earning more than I've ever earnt before and I'm happier there than I've ever been in a job. Not bad eh.
This evening we watched bridget jones edge of reason and toby got all soppy. I think he loves chick flicks more than me, he got all weepy and cuddly. He might start calling me Jones ironically. Well we are 30 somethings who met in London and after a bit of tooing and frowing, are married and madly in love. I too have an arse the size of 2 bowling balls and a habit of putting my foot in it so it's not far off.
I good prize to have won, i certainly wouldn't have bought it (I don't really do chick flicks) but it's a bit of fun and very romantic.
And so to bed.

The Bourne Supremacy - 4 stars

Very good, very science fiction, very engaging. Especially for a sequal. Entertaining, and edge of seat stuff. Can't wait for the 3rd one.

The Christmas front window!

here's our tree and some fairy lights. It's a feeble attempt, there maybe better pictures to follow but I am a bit hung over and still not over this throat cough thing. I wish it would just get better! I like my christmas lights though :) 

Much fun was had by all. We rounded off the night by watching (well some falling asleep including me) to the Film Fight Club, which I thought was very appropriate. In the morning, i fed them a full English and we sat around and watched (well took the mick out of) Flash Gordon. Tob said it was a great Birthday weekend for him and it put all his fears of not being good enough to bay. They loved the house and had a great time. 

Simon took great pleasure in moaning about Toby's computer. He even brought his beardy wife with him - he now has Allie as is main wife but has beardy wives too. 

It was great having everyone round, we ate mexican food, drunk beer and behaved in a leary but light hearted and amusing way. 

Fight Club at the Jones'

Yeah! it was our turn to host WOW fight club! Here we have martin and sophie going head to head, swearing at each other and experiencing generally appauling fighting techniques. Sophie later let the men be geeks and joined Lorna and I for a more civilised game of scrabble. I won after getting a 40 pointer fairly early on in the game. Martin ended up drinking more Speckled Hen than was good for him.
