Leon's 1st Birthday

Leon's 1st Birthday today! I took the day off so I could spend it with Leon and Christine, and in the afternoon we went to M&D's. Sarah and Leah (16 months) came round as well.

We opened the presents we hadn't opened at the party, including a lovely Miffy plane from Christine's mum (you slot in cards with pictures of animals on them into the wings and it talks about them - in Dutch, which will help him on the way to being bilingual!) , some beautiful flash cards, books from Doreen, and a great alliterative a-z book from a colleague in work, which was very nice of her. (By the way, one of the books from Doreen has a naughty bear scooping up rabbits and elves and whatnot in a big sock, then bopping them on the head with a big red hammer! It had me in stitches - still has, just thinking about it!)

And then we had a nice surprise - Mum had knitted Leon an absolutely gorgeous jumper! It's got LEON on the front and a big 1 on the back, it's really lovely :)

As you can see Leon and Leah got on well, and they even played together in the tunnel - Leon looking in the windows along the tunnel and Leah looking out! They both loved the balloons :)
